Cold Dr15 - Basic Ignition Timing

  1. Connect tachometer and power timing light to engine. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose at distributor. Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Check that idle speed is 700-900 RPM. Adjust if necessary.
  2. Ignition timing should be within 2° of specification shown on emission label. If so, proceed to Cold DR16 below. If timing is not within proper range, adjust as necessary.
