Cc4 - Cruise Control System Power Supply Check

  1. Without disconnecting harness, connect a jumper wire between Dark Blue/Red and Yellow/Red wires of cruise control switch harness connection. If display reads "00", replace cruise control switch. If display on tester reads blank, go to next step.

  2. Turn ignition off. Without disconnecting connector, connect a voltmeter between Dark Blue/Red wire of cruise control switch harness connector and ground. Turn ignition on. If voltmeter reads within one volt of battery voltage, go to next step. If voltmeter reads zero volts, repair Dark Blue/Red wire for an open circuit to fuse box.

  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 60-pin connector. Connect a voltmeter between Yellow/Red wire in cavity No. 8 and ground. Turnignition on. If voltmeter reads battery voltage, replace SMEC for a bad logic board. Before replacing SMEC, ensure terminal in cavity No. 8 of 60-pin connector is not damaged causing a poor connection. If voltmeter reads zero volts, repair Yellow/Red wire in cavity No. 8 for an open circuit to cruise control switch.
