RWD Models
- Disconnect 4-wire and 2-wire connectors at stoplight switch. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity of 4-wire connector between Dark Blue/Red and Yellow/Red wires, and between White/Red and White wires. With brake pedal released, there should be continuity between wires. There should be no continuity of 2-wire connector between Pink and White wires.
- Depress brake pedal. There should be continuity between Pink and White wires. There should be no continuity between Dark Blue/Red and Yellow/Red wires or between White/Red and White wires.
- If ohmmeter readings are not as specified, stoplight switch is defective or out of adjustment. See STOPLIGHT SWITCH in ADJUSTMENTS.
