Test 31A - Left BRAKELIGHTS Out

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  at end of article.
  1. Disconnect multifunction switch 24-pin connector. See Figure . Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 14 (White/Tan) and terminal No. 15 (Dark Green/Red wire) of multifunction switch 24-pin connector. Depress brake pedal. If left side brakelights come on, replace multifunction switch. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
  2. If left side brakelights did not come on, disconnect jumper wire. Reconnect multifunction switch 24-pin connector. Disconnect light outage module 14-pin connector. See Figure . Check connector condition, and clean or repair connector as necessary. Connect jumper wire between terminal No. 1 (Dark Green wire) and terminal No. 2 (Dark Green/Red wire) of light outage module 14-pin connector.
  3. Depress brake pedal. If one left side brakelight comes on, replace light outage module. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If one left side brakelight does not come on, repair open Dark Green/Red wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
