Test 60C - Headlight Doors Will Not Open
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
at end of article.
- Turn ignition off. Using DRB-II in ohmmeter mode, check resistance on terminal "B" (Dark Blue/Yellow wire) of headlight door open relay connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to TEST 62A . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, disconnect headlight door close relay. See Figure . Check resistance on terminal "B" in headlight door open relay connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to TEST 63A .
- If resistance is less than 5 ohms, disconnect headlight door motor connector. Connector is located behind center of front grill. Check resistance on terminal "B" (Dark Blue/Yellow wire) of headlight door open relay connector. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace headlight door motor. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Dark Blue/Yellow wire. Perform VERIFICATION PROCEDURE VER-1.
