Test 30B - All Tail Lamps Out
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Disconnect left and right tail lamp connectors. Inspect bulbs. Replace bulbs if defective. If bulbs are okay, go to next step.
- Put DRB in voltmeter mode. Measure voltage at fuse block terminal No. 10 (Red/Yellow wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to TEST 30C. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Remove and inspect 40-amp park lamp fuse (third fuse from right on bottom row in power distribution center). See Figure . If fuse is open, go to step 5). If fuse is okay, go to next step.
- Put DRB in voltmeter mode. Measure voltage at power distribution center 40-amp park lamp fuse terminal No. 49 (Black wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair power distribution center. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Black wire between power distribution center and fuse block.
- If fuse is open in step 3), put DRB in ohmmeter mode. Measure resistance at power distribution center terminal No. 56 (Red/Yellow wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Red/Yellow wire between power distribution center and fuse block for short to ground. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace 40-amp park lamp fuse.
