Test 53B - Diagnosing Traveler Buttons

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR  IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Using DRB, read traveler switch status. If DRB displays CLOSED for traveler step or US/M buttons, replace traveler module. If DRB does not display CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Press traveler step button and observe DRB. If DRB does not display CLOSED, replace traveler module. If DRB displays CLOSED, press US/M button and observe DRB. If DRB does not display CLOSED, replace traveler module. If DRB displays CLOSED, system is okay at this time.
