Pump/Motor Circuits

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see wiring diagram.
  1. Using scan tool, actuate ABS relay. If pump/motor is heard running, go to TEST 4B. If pump/motor is not heard running, stop actuator test. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read status of pump/motor relay. If scan tool displays PUMP MOTOR RELAY = ON, go to TEST 4C. If scan tool does not display PUMP MOTOR RELAY = ON, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, actuate pump/motor relay. Read status of pump/motor relay. If status of pump/motor relay does not switch from on to off, go to TEST 4D. If status of pump/motor relay switches from on to off, go to next step.
  3. Visually inspect all related wiring and connections. Repair as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A. If wiring and connections are okay, system is operating properly at this time. Perform TEST VER-1A.
