Test 7B - Bus Short To Battery

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE:
  1. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector terminals No. 7 (Orange wire) and No. 26 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Orange wire and Violet/Brown wire.
  2. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check resistance between PCM connector terminals No. 7 (Orange wire) and No. 46 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Orange wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace PCM.
