Test 20A - Courtesy Lamp On At All Times
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:

article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
- Ensure all doors are closed. Using scan tool, read left door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display LF DOOR AJAR OPEN, go to TEST 21B . If scan tool displays LF DOOR AJAR OPEN, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, read right door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display RF DOOR AJAR OPEN, go to TEST 22B . If scan tool displays RF DOOR AJAR OPEN, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM), located behind right kick panel. Disconnect BCM connectors. If courtesy lamps do not stay on all the time, replace BCM. If courtesy lamps stay on all the time, go to next step.
- Disconnect left pod switch connector. See Figure. If courtesy lamps do not stay on all the time, replace left pod switch. If courtesy lamps stay on, go to next step.
- Disconnect liftgate ajar switch connector (If equipped). If courtesy lamps do not stay on all the time, replace liftgate ajar switch. If courtesy lamps stay on, repair short to ground in courtesy lamp control circuit (Yellow wire).
