Test 75C - Shorted Seat Belt Lamp Circuit
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:

article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Turn ignition on. If seat belt warning lamp is off, replace BCM. If seat belt warning lamp is on, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster Red connector. Check connector condition and clean or repair connector as necessary. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of instrument cluster Red connector terminal No. 1 (Dark Blue/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair Dark Blue/Red wire for short to ground. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace mechanical instrument cluster.
