Interior Light Test 5A - Illuminated Entry Inoperative

NOTE: Perform INTERIOR LIGHT TEST 1A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS . Perform, after each repair, TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE .

CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.

NOTE: Illuminated entry will only operate when activated by Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter.

Ensure dome light switch is in the middle position before proceeding (if applicable). Using scan tool, actuate courtesy light. If dome light does not illuminate, go to INTERIOR LIGHT TEST 2A . If dome light illuminates, stop actuation. If RKE is not operating properly, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 8A . If RKE is operating properly, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is mounted to junction block. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A.
