Parking Lights Will Not Turn Off

NOTE: Perform EXTERIOR LIGHT TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION. Perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-2A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Ensure headlight switch is in OFF position. Using scan tool, select SENSORS. Read headlight switch voltage. If scan tool does not display HEADLIGHT SWITCH VOLTAGE: 4.5 volts (approximately), replace headlight switch. If scan tool displays HEADLIGHT SWITCH VOLTAGE: 4.5 volts (approximately), go to next step.
  2. Remove parking light relay from junction block. See Figure. If parking lights are not illuminated, go to next step. If parking lights are illuminated, repair parking light relay output circuit for short to voltage.
  3. Monitoring relay for clicking sound, install parking light relay in junction block. If clicking sound exists, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is mounted to junction block located behind left end cap of instrument panel. See Figure. If clicking sound does not exist, replace relay.
