Transponder Id Mismatch Or Transponder Response Mismatch
NOTE:
Perform SKIS TEST 3A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see
BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-1A after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
Place key in ignition switch and turn to RUN position. Using scan tool, select MISCELLANEOUS, then PROGRAM NEW KEY. Read CURRENT KEY STATUS. If status is MAXIMUM KEY LIMIT, no additional keys can be programmed. See appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM article. If status is PROGRAMING FAILED, replace SKIM and perform SKIM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE . If status is PROGRAMING SUCCESSFUL, erase DTCs. Replace original defective key. If status is PROGRAMING NOT ATTEMPTED, repeat procedure. If none of the above messages are displayed, replace SKIM and perform SKIM INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE .
