Test 8A: PCI Bus Communication
NOTE:
After each repair, perform TEST VER-1A: VERIFICATION TEST
to confirm problem has been corrected.
- Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, attempt to communicate with Mechanical Instrument Cluster (MIC). If scan tool communicates with MIC, go to next step. If scan tool does not communicate with MIC, diagnose instrument cluster communication problem. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
- Using scan tool, erase DTCs. Turn ignition off, then on. Wait one minute. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If DTC returns, replace Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB). See CONTROLLER ANTI-LOCK BRAKE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If DTC does not return, test is complete.
