DTC P1195: Slow Upstream O2 Sensor During Catalyst Monitor: Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2000 Plymouth Breeze, 2000 Dodge Stratus, and 2000 Chrysler Cirrus. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Circuit is monitored with engine running, engine coolant temperature more than 170°F (77°C), open throttle, steady to slightly increasing vehicle speed (more than 18 MPH but less than 55 MPH), with a light load on engine for no less than 5 minutes. DTC is set when O2 sensor voltage is switching from less than .39 volts to more than .6 volts and back fewer times than required. Possible causes for DTC to set are: O2 sensor 1/1 ground circuit open, O2 sensor 1/1 connector failure, defective O2 sensor 1/1, engine uses oil or coolant, exhaust system leaks or defective Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector.
