HVAC System - Automatic: Description

Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system provides for manual or automatic control of climate zone in passenger compartment. When automatic mode is selected, ATC system controls blower motor speed, temperature, and mode (airflow). ATC system has self-diagnostic capabilities and will store Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in Body Control Module (BCM). Powertrain Control Module (PCM) may store ATC system related DTCs. Only BCM DTCs can be retrieved using ATC control panel. All DTCs can be retrieved Chrysler's Diagnostic Readout Box (DRBIII®), or generic scan tool. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS .
