DTC P0600: Pcm Failure SPI Communications

NOTE: Communication between processors over the internal BUS is monitored when ignition is on. DTC may be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when an internal BUS communication failure exists between processors. Possible cause is a defective PCM.
  1. Turn ignition on with engine off. Using scan tool, check for DTCs.
  2. If DTC P0600: PCM FAILURE SPI COMMUNICATIONS does not exist, test is complete. If DTC P0600: PCM FAILURE SPI COMMUNICATIONS exists, replace PCM. PCM is located in engine compartment, between air cleaner and radiator. Perform TEST VER-1A .
