Actuator Tests

Scan tool is used to perform scan tool actuator test on a specified component to determine if component operates correctly. Use scan tool to actuate specified component under specified operating condition. See ACTUATOR TESTS table.
Specified component should operate at normal operation as described. See ACTUATOR TESTS table. If component does not operate correctly, perform specified Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) test under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS or specified SYMPTOM TESTING inspection procedure. See ACTUATOR TESTS table.

⁽¹⁾	Remove spark plug wire and reinstall on NEW spark plug. Ground spark plug. Turn ignition on and check for spark.

⁽²⁾	DO NOT energize injector for and extended period of. Prolonged injector actuation may cause excessive amounts of fuel to enter engine.
