Removal (Deployed Module)
WARNING:
When removing a deployed module, rubber gloves, eye protection, and a long-sleeved shirt should be worn, as there may be deposits on surface which could irritate skin and eyes.
- Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable. Roll/fold Air Bag towards instrument panel. Remove instrument panel top cover. See Figure . Lift module up until wire connector is visible and disconnect 6-way wire connector from module. Unlock Red locking tab and compress lock to release connector. See Figure . Open glove box door. Release check cables, allowing glove box door to lower.
- Remove two screws attaching Passenger Air Bag Module through glove opening. Remove two nuts attaching Passenger Air Bag Module through top cover access. See Figure .
