Maintenance Inspection
- Ensure both front impact sensors are properly installed to brackets on frame with 3 fasteners each. Ensure electrical connectors are securely fastened.
- Repair as necessary. Check Air Bag warning lamp for proper operation as follows:
- Turn ignition switch to ON position, Air Bag warning lamp should light. If not, test system using a scan tool and appropriate Passive Restraint System Diagnostic Procedures. Repair as required.
- The Air Bag warning lamp lights, but fails to go out after eight seconds. Test system using a scan tool and appropriate Passive Restraint System Diagnostic Procedures. Repair as required.
- After correcting active malfunction, erase stored DTC's.
