Shorted Left Sliding Door Ajar Circuit

NOTE:
Left sliding door ajar switch is also referred to as left rear door ajar switch.
- Disconnect left sliding door ajar switch. Using scan tool, read left sliding door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LSLIDE DR AJAR SWITCH: CLOSED, go to next step. If scan tool does not display LSLIDE DR AJAR SWITCH: CLOSED, replace door ajar switch.
- Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector "B". BCM is located with junction block under driver's side instrument panel. See Figure . Using scan tool, read left sliding door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LSLIDE DR AJAR SWITCH: CLOSED, replace BCM. If scan tool does not display LSLIDE DR AJAR SWITCH: CLOSED, repair short to ground in Tan/Orange wire between left sliding door ajar switch and BCM.
