Removal - Left Side
- Loosen and remove V-Band clamp at exhaust manifold joint (Figure).NOTE: Do not reuse V-Band clamp.
- Hoist vehicle.
- Remove exhaust system (Refer to REMOVAL - EXHAUST SYSTEM ).
- Disconnect downstream oxygen sensor electrical connector and remove sensor from converter pipe (Refer to DOWNSTREAM OXYGEN SENSOR ).
- Loosen or remove nut attaching left pipe to transaxle bracket (Figure).CAUTION: Care should be taken when removing converter not to damage driveshaft boot.
- Remove converter from below vehicle.
