Battery Hold Down: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. On gasoline engine vehicles, remove the air cleaner housing (Refer to 2.4L DOHC ).
  3. On diesel engine equipped vehicles, remove the front passengers seat.
  4. Remove the battery hold down retaining bolt(s).
  5. Remove the battery hold down from the vehicle.
