Inlet Air Temperature Sensor
The Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is located in the intake air duct. See Figure or Fig 1 . The IAT sensor is a Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) sensor that provides information to the PCM regarding the temperature of the air entering the intake manifold. This information is used by PCM to adjust air/fuel mixture.
