Check Strap: Installation
NOTE:
The check strap will be labeled either left or right and has a directional arrow on housing to indicate proper orientation. Part may damage if installed incorrectly.
- Position check strap to door through access hole.
- Loosely attach fasteners to check strap to door.
- Install fasteners attaching check strap to cowl panel.
- Tighten fasteners attaching check strap to door.
Tighten to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.) torque.
- Install watershield and door trim panel.
- Cycle door to verify proper operation.
