Fuel Pump Operation Check
Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under left side of instrument panel to right of steering column. See Fig 1 . Using scan tool, actuate fuel pump. If fuel pump does not operate, remove fuel pump relay 2. See Fig 2 . Connect a fused jumper wire between battery voltage and fuel pump relay 2 connector terminal No. 3. Listen at open fuel tank inlet for fuel pump operation. Squeeze fuel line between fingers to check for system pressure.
