Tie Rod End: Installation
- Clean the tapered surfaces, and remove any grease or debris from the tie rod end.
- Thread the tie rod end onto the drag link.
- Install the tie rod end to the steering knuckle.
- Install the attaching nut on the tie rod end. Tighten to 50 N.m (37 ft. lbs.).
- Thread the jam nut down far enough to hold the tie rod end in place. Do not tighten the jam nut.
- Adjust the front toe setting on the vehicle. See SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES .
