Shift Interlock Cable: Removal

  1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Remove instrument panel lower silencer panel.
  3. Remove inflatable knee blocker (Fig 1).

  4. Disconnect shift interlock cable connector (Fig 2).

  5. Place ignition key in the ACC position (Fig 3).

  6. Disconnect shift interlock cable from ignition cylinder (Fig 4).

  7. Remove gearshift knob (Fig 5).

  8. Remove gearshift bezel (Fig 6).

  9. Remove PRNDL surround bezel (Fig 7).

  10. Remove center console assembly (Fig 8).

  11. Disconnect shift interlock cable from shift mechanism as shown in (Fig 9).
