NOTE: After making any repairs, perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  1. Turn the ignition on. With the DRB, attempt to communicate with the ABS, BCM, FCM, ORC, or TCM module. If the DRB was able to I/D or communicate with the module in question, go to the next step. If the DRB was not able to I/D or communicate with the module in question, refer to the communication category of the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table for the related symptom(s). See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION  table.
  2. With the DRB, erase DTC's. Turn the ignition on and wait approximately 1 minute. With the DRB, read DTC's. If this DTC reset, replace the instrument cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article. If this DTC did not reset, the condition is not present at this time. Monitor DRBIII® parameters while wiggling the related wire harness. Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connector terminals.
