Battery Tray: Installation

- Clean and inspect the battery tray (1). Refer to BATTERY SYSTEM for battery tray cleaning and inspection procedures.
- Position the battery tray (1) into the vehicle.
- Install and tighten the lower bolts (2) that secure the battery tray (1). Tighten the screws to 12.4 N.m (110 in. lbs.).
- Install the right front wheelhouse splash shield.
- Install the right front tire and wheel assembly (Refer to TIRES/WHEELS/WHEELS - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Install the battery temperature sensor onto the battery tray (1). (Refer to ELECTRICAL/CHARGING/BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR - INSTALLATION) .
- Install and tighten upper bolts that secure the battery tray to fender frame. Tighten the screws to 12.4 N.m (110 in. lbs.).
- Install the battery onto the battery tray (Refer to ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM/BATTERY - INSTALLATION) .
- Install and tighten the battery hold down (1) and bolt (2).
- Install the battery thermal guard (1).
- Reconnect the battery cables.
