Exterior Handle Switch: Removal

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  3. Open the liftgate and remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to INTERIOR/EXTERIOR for the procedure.
  4. Disconnect the handle switch electrical connector.
  5. Remove the liftgate handle assembly from the vehicle. Refer to INTERIOR/EXTERIOR for the procedure.
  6. Depress the two exterior handle switch retaining tabs and roll the switch out of the handle assembly.
