Removal - 2.7L

  1. Open Hood.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Raise vehicle and support.
  4. Remove the accessory drive belt splash shield.
  5. Loosen the accessory drive belt. Refer to COOLING .
  6. Remove the lower mounting bolt.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Remove the B+ terminal and field connection. See Fig 1.

  9. Disconnect the electrical connector to the A/C pressure switch and A/C clutch.
  10. Remove the engine oil dip stick.
  11. Remove the 2 upper mounting bolts.
  12. Remove the generator. See Fig 2.
