Six-Step Trouble Shooting Procedure

Diagnosis of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is done in six basic steps:
- verification of complaint
- verification of any related symptoms
- symptom analysis
- problem isolation
- repair of isolated problem
- verification of proper operation
