Charging System: Generator: Removal: 2.4L
- Release hood latch and open hood.
- Disconnect battery negative cable.
- Disconnect the Inlet Air Temperature sensor.
- Remove the Air Box, refer to appropriate ENGINE - MECHANICAL article for more information.
- Remove the EVAP Purge solenoid from its bracket and reposition.
- Disconnect the push-in field wire connector from back of generator.
- Remove nut holding B+ wire terminal to back of generator.
- Separate B+ terminal from generator.
- Remove accessory drive belt, refer to COOLING for proper procedures.
- Remove the generator.
