Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Dodge Magnum, 2008 Dodge Charger, and 2008 Chrysler 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

You can only activate ACC if the vehicle speed is above 25 mph (Canada 30 km/h).

When the system is turned on and in the READY state, the Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) displays "ACC READY."

When the system is OFF, the EVIC displays "ACC OFF."

You cannot enable ACC under the following conditions:

  1. When you apply the brakes.
  2. When the parking brake is set.
  3. When the automatic transmission is in P (Park), R (Reverse), or N (Neutral).
  4. When the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) is switched off.
  5. When pressing the RES/ACCEL switch without a previously set speed in memory.
