  1. Drain cooling system. See Cooling - Standard Procedure .
  2. Remove radiator fan assembly. See Cooling/Engine/FAN, Cooling - Removal .
  3. Remove accessory drive belt. See Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Removal .
  4. Remove the timing chain and all chain guides.
  5. Remove bolts (2 and 3) attaching water pump (1) to block.
  6. Remove water pump (1) and gasket.
