Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With a scan tool, read DTCs.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic Procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE (EPB) MODULE COMMUNICATION RELATED DTCS IN OTHER MODULES
1. With a scan tool check for EPB communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus.
  Are there any EPB communication related DTCs in other modules on the CAN Bus at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Replace and program the Electric Park Brake (TCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, ELECTRIC PARK BRAKE, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST . .
