Diagnostic Test
- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN B and C communication DTCs before continuing.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With a scan tool, view DTCs.
Is the status Active for this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT DTC diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- SCM COMMUNICATION RELATED DTCs IN OTHER MODULES
- With the scan tool, select Network Diagnostics.
Is there more than one module with active DTCs "Logged Against" the SCM at this time?
Yes
- Replace and program the Steering Control Module (SCM) in accordance with the service information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the service information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL .
- Perform the PCM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- With the scan tool, select Network Diagnostics.
