Module, Park Assist: Installation: Installation

- Position the Park Assist Module (PAM) (3) (also known as the ParkTronic System/PTS module) to the left side of the lower deck lid opening inner closure panel (1) below the left tail lamp within the trunk.
- Reinstall the two plastic push-in fasteners (2) that secure the PAM to the lower deck lid opening inner closure panel.
- Reconnect the two or three body wire harness connectors (4) to the PAM connector receptacles.
- Restore the wheel house carpet onto the left side of the lower deck opening inner closure panel within the trunk.
- Reinstall the trim panel onto the lower deck lid opening sill in the trunk area. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.NOTE:
If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
