Sensor, Fuel Tank Pressure: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear wheelhouse splash shield from the vehicle. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, REAR WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL .

  3. Disconnect the fuel tank pressure sensor electrical connector (1).
  4. Disconnect the fuel tank vent line (3) at the filler tube (4) and the fuel tank vent steel line (6).

  5. Carefully raise the retaining tab using a flat blade screwdriver (2) or equivalent, rotate and remove the fuel tank pressure sensor (1) from the fuel tank vent tube.
