Stabilizer Bar, Front: Installation: AWD

  1. Utilizing the split in the isolator, install each stabilizer bar isolator (1) on bar resting against locating collar (2).

  2. Verify that the split in the isolator is in the correct position toward the FRONT  of the vehicle (1). If the slit in the isolator is positioned toward the REAR  of the vehicle (2) rotate the isolator to the correct position (1) toward the FRONT  of the vehicle.
    NOTE:

    When attaching stabilizer link to stabilizer bar, make sure link ball joint stem is pointed inboard toward engine cradle.

  3. Install stabilizer bar ends (3) to each stabilizer link (2). Slide link ball joint stem (1) through mounting hole in bar. Loosely install nuts (4) at this time.

  4. Raise stabilizer bar to engine cradle, placing bushings (3) into mounted position.
  5. Install the stabilizer bar isolator retainers (2) over each isolator (3).
  6. Install the stabilizer bar to crossmember bolts (1). Tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  7. While holding stem from rotating at hex or flat tighten the stabilizer link to stabilizer bar nuts (4) to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  8. Install belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
  9. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
