Rear Spring
REMOVAL
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRES AND WHEELS, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Loosen the spring link to knuckle mounting bolt do not remove.
1 - Knuckle Mounting Bolt - Remove the jack from the knuckle and place the jack under the spring link near the spring link to crossmember mounting nut.NOTE:
Mark the location of the adjustable cam before removal for a starting point when reinstalling.
1 - Crossmember Mounting Nut 2 - Tool 3 - Jack - Remove the spring link to spring link to crossmember mounting nut by using an appropriate tool to pry slightly downward to relieve pressure on the fastener.
- Carefully lower the jack and remove the rear spring with the upper isolator and jounce bumper from the vehicle.
1 - Spring 2 - Lower Isolator 3 - Upper Isolator 4 - Jounce Bumper - Remove the upper isolator and jounce bumper from the spring if necessary.
- If necessary remove the lower isolator and striker from the spring link.

INSTALLATION
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Torque all fasteners with the vehicle on the ground at ride height.
- Install the lower isolator to the striker by aligning the striker alignment pin with the alignment hole in the lower isolator.
- Install the lower isolator with the striker into the spring link by aligning the striker alignment pin to the alignment hole in the spring link.
- Install the jounce bumper into the upper isolator making sure that the notch on the jounce bumper aligns with the notch on upper isolator.
- Install the upper isolator and jounce bumper to the spring by aligning the notch on the upper isolator with the end of the coil spring.
- Install the jounce bumper, isolator and spring to the spring link by aligning the end of the coil spring with the notch on lower isolator.
- Raise the jack to align the spring link adjustable cam fastener hole, using an appropriate tool to apply pressure downward to align the holes up and install the spring link to crossmember mounting bolt.
- Install the spring link to crossmember mounting nut. Do not tighten the fastener at this time.
- Raise vehicle as necessary to access mounting fasteners.
- Tighten the spring link to knuckle mounting bolt to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Align the adjustable cam fastener with the location marked in the removal process for a starting point before alignment.
- Tighten the spring link to crossmember mounting nut to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Perform four wheel alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
