Coolant Crossover

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to THERMOSTAT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Remove the heater supply hose from the coolant crossover.

3. Remove the bolts and the coolant crossover. Take notice to the bolts that bolt directly to the timing cover.

4. Remove and discard the gasket.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Clean gasket sealing surfaces.
• Install a NEW  gasket onto the coolant crossover.
• The shorter M6 mounting bolts, bolt directly to the engine timing cover.

• Install the coolant crossover. Using the tightening sequence shown in the illustration, tighten the bolts to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
