Inspection Of EGR Valve

Remove EGR valve. Check EGR valve for sticking. Check to see if any heavy carbon deposits are present. If a problem is found, replace the EGR valve with a new one. Apply a vacuum pressure of 5.9 in. Hg and ensure that air flows through EGR. If no air flows, replace EGR valve with a new one.
