Description & Operation
The fuel system supplies the fuel necessary for combustion to the injectors. Fuel delivered from the fuel tank by means of a fuel pump is sent to the delivery pipe under a pressurized condition. The pressure regulator, mounted at the delivery pipe, keeps the fuel pressure to 36.3 psi (2.55 kg/cm2 ). In this way, the fuel injection amount for each injector energizing time is kept at a constant level. The operation of the fuel pump is controlled by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU).
