Charge Temperature Switch

This sensor is located in the intake manifold. The switch is closed when intake charge (air/fuel mixture) is below 60°F (16°C). This prevents EGR timer function and EGR valve operation. When temperature is above 60°F (16°C), the switch opens, allowing EGR timer to time out and EGR valve to operate.
