Manual Transmission Overhaul: Identification
Located on left side of aluminum tail housing is a cast pad. The pad has vehicle identification number stamped on it. See Fig 1 . This number should match vehicle identification number located on dash pad.
A bar code tag is also located on left side of transmission case. These numbers should be used when ordering parts for this transmission. Transmission can also be identified by the Viper emblem located on right side of the tailshaft housing. It is cast directly into aluminum tail housing.
