DTC P0700: EATX Controller DTC Present

NOTE: Test applies only to 4.7L. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

NOTE: Electronic Automatic Transmission (EATX) controller is monitored for DTCs when ignition is on. EATX controller may also be referred to as Transmission Control Module (TCM). DTC may be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) if any DTC is set in TCM.

Using scan tool, check for DTCs stored in TCM. If no DTCs exists in TCM, using scan tool, clear this DTC from PCM. If any DTCs exist in TCM, perform necessary diagnostic procedures for these DTCs. See CHRYSLER 45RFE ELECTRONIC CONTROLS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
