Using Transmitter Only

  1. Ensure key is removed from ignition. Press Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter UNLOCK button for 4-10 seconds. While pressing UNLOCK button, press and hold LOCK button. To activate or deactivate hazard answerback function customization feature when doors are locked, go to next step. To activate or deactivate hazard answerback function customization feature when doors are unlocked, go to step  3 .
  2. Release LOCK button then UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter. ETACS ECU will sound indicating that it is ready to be switched. If hazard light lock answerback function is turned from off to on (enabled), ETACS ECU will sound one time. If hazard light lock answerback function is turned from on to off (disabled), ETACS ECU will sound 2 times.
  3. Release UNLOCK button then LOCK button on RKE transmitter. ETACS ECU will sound indicating that it is ready to be switched. If hazard light unlock answerback function is turned from off to on (enabled), ETACS ECU will sound one time. If hazard light unlock answerback function is turned from on to off (disabled), ETACS ECU will sound 2 times.
